Meet The Owners
Both Shannon Prigger and Velvet Eberharter have been life long horse owners and enthusiasts.  Even though they lived in the same county through many years of their lives they had never crossed paths.  Then in early 2006 a mutual friend suggested that Velvet contact Shannon for boarding her horse at Shannon's facility and their paths merged.  Velvet and Shannon hit it off and became fast friends.  As Velvet became reacquainted with the horse business after a short absence she realized that there was a need for a community tack store where people could get reasonably priced items with knowledgeable and friendly staff.  Entertaining the idea of opening such a store, one thing eventually led to another and less than a year from first meeting Shannon & Velvet where not only still friends but now business partners in Equine Essentials.
